Final from the Summer!!!

We were talking with our semester students the other night about what Jesus "saw" when the bible says "he saw the crowds" in Matthew 9. What does it mean to really see someone? Jesus "had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." What do we "see" in others when we are with them - or do we even take the time needed to really "see" as Jesus did?

As I was looking at the pics below from where we serve -  I tried to really pay attention to the faces and the backgrounds. What do you see?

More from Isaiah 58
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
To loose the chains of injustice and untie the chords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter
when you see the naked, to clothe him,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and flood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help and He wills say:  Here am I.
